The dematerialization of the idea of place in the research on site-specificity, pushing it further away from space as physical and literal, is exaggerated in Butter Architecture: spaces are not fixed, they are unstable and melt when heat is applied. The pieces and human figures, sold originally to be used in architectural models and removed from that context, are what provide the volumes with a situational meaning, not without the strangeness of an apparent non-belongingness.
