Le mauvais alphabet est un projet résultant d’une résidence de recherche de trois mois et qui comprend une collection des mauvaises herbes qui habitent dans le jardin et autour de la maison d’Utopiana à Genève. Grâce au cyanotype – un procédé photographique ancien – les artistes transportent les images de ces plantes au Commun, en assemblant un rideau tel un patchwork qui traverse l’espace du lieu. Plus de 50 types de plantes dites spontanées ont été trouvées dans le jardin d’Utopiana, qui, ainsi, peut être décrit comme un espace d’expérimentation avec l’hospitalité radicale qui ne met pas l’humain au centre. Liée à la diversité du royaume des plantes, La Soupe de la Biodiversité, est une performance inaugurale des 1000 écologies. En collaboration avec le public, les artistes proposeront de faire une soupe avec les ingrédients de la région. La soupe peut aussi être lue comme une photographie digestive de la saison.

Enfin, la Table-langue est une installation qui connecte l’intérieur et l’extérieur de l’espace d’exposition du Commun. S’étirant jusqu’au trottoir, elle crée une structure comparable à la langue et projette l’espace intérieur à l’air libre. Ainsi, la table devient la surface de médiation qui accueille les différents projets et activités de l’exposition.

O Alfabeto Maldito é um projeto resultante de uma residência de pesquisa de três meses que inclui uma coleção de ervas daninhas que habitam o jardim e ao redor da casa Utopiana em Genebra. Graças à cianotipia – um processo fotográfico milenar – os artistas transportam as imagens dessas plantas para o espaço Le Commun, montando uma cortina em forma de patchwork que atravessa o espaço do local. Mais de 50 tipos de plantas espontâneas foram encontradas no jardim da Utopiana, o que, portanto, pode ser descrito como um espaço de experimentação com hospitalidade radical, que não coloca o ser humano no centro. Ligado à diversidade do reino vegetal, a sopa da biodiversidade é uma performance inaugural da exposição. Em colaboração com o público, os artistas vão propor fazer uma sopa com ingredientes da região, colocando a possibilidade da sopa ser lida também como uma fotografia digestiva da estação.

Por fim, a Mesa-língua é uma instalação que conecta o interior e o exterior do espaço expositivo da Commun. Estendendo-se até a calçada, ele cria uma estrutura em forma de língua e projeta o espaço interior para o aberto. Assim, a mesa passa a ser a superfície mediadora que hospeda os diversos projetos e atividades da exposição.

The Mauvais Alphabet is a project resulting from a three-month research residency that includes a collection of weeds that inhabit the garden and the surroundings of the Utopian house in Geneva. Thanks to cyanotype – an ancient photographic process – the artists transport the images of these plants to the Le Commun, setting up a patchwork curtain that crosses the space of the place. More than 50 types of spontaneous plants were found in the garden of Utopiana, which, therefore, can be described as an experimentation space with radical hospitality, which does not put the human being at the center. Linked to the diversity of the plant kingdom, the soup of biodiversity is an inaugural performance of the exhibition. In collaboration with the public, the artists will propose to make a soup with ingredients from the region, posing the possibility that the soup can also be read as a digestive photograph of the season.

Finally, the Table-tongue is an installation that connects the interior and exterior of Commun’s exhibition space. Extending to the sidewalk, it creates a tongue-shaped structure and projects the interior space into the open. Thus, the table becomes the mediating surface that hosts the various projects and activities of the exhibition.
